Engineers Australia CDR Readiness Checker

Check whether you have the Career Episodes, personal engineering contribution, technical evidence and supporting information to begin structured CDR preparation.

Preparation check, not an assessment prediction. Your result helps identify preparation gaps. It does not predict or guarantee an Engineers Australia outcome.

Select your engineering discipline

Your final three questions will adapt to the discipline you select.

What does the CDR Readiness Checker assess?

The free checker looks at the preparation foundations that help an engineer begin a Competency Demonstration Report: three potential Career Episodes, personal engineering contribution, engineering problem solving, technical evidence, engineering judgement, verification, CPD and competency mapping. It then adds three questions tailored to your selected engineering discipline.

What makes a useful Career Episode candidate?

A useful candidate should give you enough genuine first-person engineering work to explain the problem, your technical contribution, the decisions you made and how the work was verified. The checker helps you identify whether those ingredients are available before you start drafting.

Why does discipline matter?

Engineering evidence is not identical across disciplines. A Mechanical Engineer may rely on different analysis and verification evidence from an Electrical, Civil or Process Engineer. The final questions therefore adapt to the discipline you select.

What happens after the readiness check?

Your result highlights strengths and preparation gaps. If you continue, the full CDR Assistant can work from your actual resume and project information rather than relying only on self-reported answers.

Does the score predict an Engineers Australia result?

No. It is a Skill2Australia preparation indicator only. It does not determine eligibility, assess competency on behalf of Engineers Australia, or predict an assessment decision.

Always confirm current assessment requirements with Engineers Australia.
