How Skill2Australia handles your information

Last updated: 12 July 2026

This policy explains how Skill2Australia ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information when you use the Skill2Australia website and preparation tools.

1. Information you provide

You may provide account information, resume or draft text, qualification details, employment history, project or career episode information, answers to preparation questions, employer-statement text and evidence-readiness selections. Payment providers may process billing information when paid access is enabled; we do not need your full card details in our application.

2. Information created through your use

The service creates workspace drafts, AI-assisted reviews and preparation summaries in your browser. Skill2Australia does not store resume text, workspace answers or generated drafts in its Supabase database. Account-linked database records are limited to the Clerk user identifier, whether a free account feature has been used, paid-access dates and minimal payment references needed to provide and reconcile access.

3. Browser storage and cookies

The current application uses browser local storage to autosave workspace information and remember limited access-state information on your browser. This is browser storage, not an advertising cookie. Authentication and session providers may use cookies or similar storage that are necessary to sign you in, protect sessions and keep the service functioning. We do not currently use advertising pixels or optional behavioural analytics cookies in the application.

If we later add non-essential analytics, advertising or similar tracking technologies, we will update this policy and introduce an appropriate consent choice where required before activating those technologies.

4. Why we use information

We use information to provide the requested preparation workflow, extract applicant-provided facts, generate drafts and reviews, autosave workspaces in your browser, authenticate users, provide exports, prevent abuse, manage free and paid access, troubleshoot the service and respond to support or privacy requests. Resume and workspace content sent to application server routes for processing is not written to the Supabase database by the current application.

5. Service providers

We may use service providers for authentication, hosting, database or workspace storage, AI processing and payments. Information is shared with a provider only as needed for the service function we use. Providers may process information in countries other than your own.

6. Your responsibility for uploaded information

Skills assessment documents can contain sensitive personal and employment information. Upload only information you are authorised to use. Avoid including unnecessary passport numbers, bank account numbers, tax identifiers or third-party confidential information in free-text fields.

7. Retention and deletion

Browser-saved workspace data remains in your browser until it is cleared through the application, browser settings or other storage controls. Account access, usage and payment records may be retained for service delivery, security, billing, dispute handling and legal obligations. You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and records we are required to retain.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the service. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials secure and do not share sign-in access.

9. Children's data

Skill2Australia is intended for adults preparing professional or trade skills assessment material and is not designed for children.

10. International users

Skill2Australia may be used from multiple countries. Privacy rights and obligations can differ by location. We will handle valid privacy requests in accordance with applicable law.
